We are seeking a compassionate, energetic specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide safe, nurturing and loving care to children ages birth through 12 and will also provide support, case management, resource referral to families. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone dedicated to making a meaningful difference in children’s lives and providing support families need. This unique position allows you to work 2 shifts per week with the children and 2 shifts per week working with families.
- With co-workers, plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that enhance the social emotional and all aspects of development of the children in our care.
- Engage with the children by participating in all daily activities.
- Monitor the overall daily schedule of the child flow and group management by always knowing the complete count of children and where each child is located. Make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain awareness of the needs of each individual child, establishing positive relationships through consistent routine.
- As the first point of contact for families seeking services, responsible for scheduling and conducting all intakes and discharges appointments with the families.
- Establish trusting, respectful relationships with all families seeking services.
- Ability to provide crisis counseling.
- Present all appropriate community resources necessary for families to begin to create and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for themselves and their children.
Experience
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or high school or equivalency course of study (GED/HSEC)
- Six months of experience working directly with children.
- 1 year of experience working directly with families providing case management or resource referral.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion while maintaining confidentiality
- Proficiency in data entry, medication administration, filing systems, and record keeping

Pay: $21.00 - $21.50 per hour
