Parts Specialist
Join Our Collision Center Team!
We’re looking for a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our busy collision repair team. This is a critical role in our operation, responsible for making sure technicians have the right parts, at the right time, and at the right cost.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of accuracy, communication, and follow-through and takes pride in keeping the repair process moving efficiently from estimate to completion.
What You’ll Do
- Order OEM, aftermarket, recycled, and other collision repair parts
- Research and compare parts from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing and availability
- Verify part numbers, pricing, availability, and fitment before ordering
- Review repair estimates and repair orders to ensure all necessary parts are accounted for
- Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming parts
- Coordinate parts with technicians, estimators, vendors, and management
- Track backordered, unavailable, damaged, or incorrect parts and proactively find solutions
- Process parts returns and maintain accurate documentation
- Follow up on outstanding credits and refunds to ensure they are received
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and help control inventory levels
- Monitor parts orders throughout the repair process to minimize delays
- Help identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising repair quality
- Maintain an organized parts area and ensure parts are properly identified and assigned to the correct repair order
What We’re Looking For
- Previous automotive or collision parts experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple repair orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Comfortable working with estimating and inventory systems such as CCC1 and Reynolds
- Knowledge of OEM, aftermarket, and recycled collision repair parts
- Ability to research parts and identify the best combination of price, availability, and quality
- Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay ahead of potential delays
