Responsible for fostering a living-learning environment that supports the vision, missions, goals, and values of Residence Life and Cleveland State University (CSU), through student growth and development initiatives. Assists senior leadership with the training and supervision of Resident Assistant (RA) staff and will address student concerns and developmental needs. The incumbent must live in CSU-owned housing. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree, preferably in education, business management, counseling, or related field.
- Leadership experience.
- Ability to work varied hours to include evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, business management, counseling, or related field.
- Supervisory experience in residence life and housing program management.
- Experience in student programming or advising.
- Experience using residence life software and systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence, and persuasion.
- Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
