SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing’s responsibility is to increase and maintain Melling’s brand and promote Melling’s products through the effective use of marketing activities and strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and oversee Melling’s marketing strategy in alignment with overall business goals, considering both short-term objectives and long-term brand positioning.

Content Gathering: Have a comprehensive knowledge of photography, videography, and exceptional skills in story telling through these medias. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Nikon Z series cameras and be able to capture high quality pictures and videos with them.

Brand Management: Maintain and enhance Melling’s brand image and reputation through exceptional quality and innovative tactics. Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels.

Digital Marketing: Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, website, email marketing, tech videos, and online advertising.

Social Media Management: Lead social media efforts, creating engaging content, managing accounts, and monitoring online conversations to drive customer engagement and loyalty. Act quickly and gracefully to resolve any customer complaints or criticisms posted on social media. Content must be high quality and professional. Generate, edit, publish and share content on a regular basis consistent with the marketing strategy document.

Content Creation: Generate compelling content for various marketing materials, including website, blogs, press releases (E-blasts), sales videos, product descriptions, and promotional material using various Adobe software programs.

Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use insight to refine market strategies.

Public Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, automotive enthusiasts, and influencers to increase Melling’s visibility in the industry.

Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports to management. Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.

Collaboration: Works closely with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, sales, tech support, and customer service, to ensure marketing efforts align with product offerings and customer needs.

Graphic Design: Skilled in designing bold, eye-catching graphics that align with brand identity and resonate with target audiences.

Maintain company website and social media pages and profiles. (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn)

Collaborates and coordinates efforts for industry trade shows. (Performance Racing Industry, SEMA, AAPEX)

Act as a knowledge source for all Melling subsidiaries and guide them in their marketing efforts.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication or related field.

2+ years’ experience in marketing, preferably in the automotive or related industry.

Passion for performance cars and strong familiarity with engine parts.

Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.

Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
