American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/Cardiology X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Trauma Level II experience for a Magnet-designated teaching hospital.

Inpatient Radiology/X-Ray Tech position within an academic teaching hospital setting
-
Day/Evening shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Sunday through Tuesday
-
Holiday and standby call may be required based on operational need
-
Performs a wide range of radiographic studies including abdomen, chest, upper and lower extremity, spine and pelvis, and head imaging
-
Handles trauma cases including trauma shoulder, humerus, and lower extremity imaging
-
Conducts fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, and upper GI series
-
Performs mobile/surgical imaging including portable chest, portable abdomen, and C-Arm procedures
-
Works across multiple settings including Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, ICU, and Operating Room
-
Uses GE, Philips, and Siemens imaging equipment along with PACS system
-
Epic EMR experience required

Travelers are required to float as needed

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
-
State of Wisconsin Radiographer License required if applicable
-
ARRT-R certification and BLS required
-
Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I experience preferred

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Epic charting system experience required

Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% or higher overall passing score

Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and radiation safety required
-
Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media preferred

Must live 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted

13-week assignment

Approved RTO dates: September 8-10 and October 10-12, 2026

Parking permit required through UW Transportation for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available including bus and park & ride
