Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager will oversee complex customer programs and internal strategic initiatives from project award through final delivery. This role requires exceptional leadership, business acumen, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.
Beyond project execution, this individual will mentor other project managers, influence process improvements, and provide leadership across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex automation and CNC machinery projects with significant technical and commercial scope.
- Manage multiple concurrent customer and internal projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and executive stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, and Finance.
- Develop project strategies, execution plans, budgets, schedules, and resource forecasts.
- Drive project risk management, issue resolution, and change management activities.
- Lead executive project reviews and communicate project health to senior leadership.
- Mentor and support junior project managers while promoting project management best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Help establish standardized project management methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of project management experience within industrial manufacturing, automation, CNC machinery, custom equipment, or related industries.
- Proven success leading complex customer-facing projects from concept through installation.
- Demonstrated experience managing both internal strategic initiatives and external customer programs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
- Experience collaborating across Engineering, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and executive leadership.
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing project budgets and forecasting.
- PMP certification is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
