- Salary Range: $88,000 – $122,000 annually
The System Director of Case Management is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and overseeing all case management functions, including discharge planning and utilization review across the organization.
This leadership role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and drives performance improvement, resource optimization, and high-quality patient care coordination. The position collaborates closely with hospital leadership, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support system-wide operations aligned with organizational goals.
- Direct and oversee case management, discharge planning, and utilization review programs
- Provide leadership and supervision to management and clinical staff
- Ensure alignment with organizational policies, budgets, and regulatory requirements
- Support long-term strategic planning and operational development
- Evaluate and improve departmental performance and outcomes
- Implement quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources
- Maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards
- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements
- Support readiness for audits, surveys, and inspections
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and healthcare standards
- Partner with administration, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Promote effective care coordination across departments
- Maintain clear and professional communication at all organizational levels
- Ensure staff competency and ongoing professional development
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations
- Foster a positive and accountable work culture
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in case management within a hospital or clinical setting
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business (MBA), or related field
- Prior leadership experience in a large hospital or health system
- Strong leadership, delegation, and team management skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
