Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for assisting with medication preparation and administration, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, and delivering outstanding patient service. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and aseptic techniques, along with a commitment to enhancing the patient experience.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system and manage inventory levels.
- Stay informed about new medications and pharmacy practices to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in training programs to improve skills related to critical care and patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required; relevant training will be provided.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy operations.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications as mandated by state regulations.
