We are seeking a skilled
Robotic Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to join our maintenance team at the Walworth plant. In this hands on position you will own the preventive maintenance program for all automated robots and auxiliary equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and product quality.
Location: Walworth Facility – 2nd Shift (Mon Thu, 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM)
Pay: $23 – $30 /hr (based on experience) + $1.50 shift differential
Key Responsibilities
- Robot & Equipment Care: Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain all automated robots, conveyors, and peripheral equipment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and component replacements (circuit boards, sensors, encoders, servomotors, etc.).
- Programming & Adjustments: Tune robot programs, align/fit components, and program end of arm tools or conveyors.
- Electrical & Mechanical Work: Wire controllers, assemble parts with hand/power tools, and perform hydraulic/pneumatic repairs.
- Documentation: Keep accurate service records, maintain inventory of sensors, cables, and other production supplies.
- Emergency Response: Respond to call backs for unexpected equipment breakdowns, working flexible hours as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate machine variations and issues with supervisors and fellow maintenance staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- 3 4 years of mechanical experience (robotic systems training will be provided).
- Strong knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, sensors, feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
- Ability to read machine operation manuals, interpret schematics, and diagnose problems.
- Must own a personal tool set.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work 4 10 hour days, Monday Thursday.
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with robotic systems, CNC equipment, or industrial automation.
- Certifications in mechanical maintenance, PLC programming, or robotics.
