Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, manufacturing documents, and technical specifications to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to design intent.
- Perform quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (medical devices), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize calibration procedures for measuring instruments and ensure all tools are within calibration standards for precise measurements.
- Document inspection results accurately, analyze data trends, and report non-conformances or deviations from quality standards in accordance with QA/QC protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions aligned with HACCP, CGMP, and other quality management systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in quality management reviews, data collection efforts, and process optimization projects.
Experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industries regulated by FDA or ISO standards.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, and HACCP principles.
- Hands-on experience operating measurement instruments including height gauges, dial indicators, GDMs (gear measurement devices), and vision inspection systems.
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to interpret blueprints, GDT (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify deviations, assess data accuracy, and recommend improvements.
- Basic math skills for performing calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately while maintaining attention to detail under fast-paced conditions.
