- Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30)
- Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:30)
Pay Rate:
$1350 weekly ($17/hr w2 + $670/week Stipend)

Job Description:
This is a 13-week contract starting 08/31/2026, working 5x8-hour shifts, with Day or Evening shift option available. The department processes approximately 1,200 trays/day and 65 surgical cases/day and specializes in Neuro, Orthopedics, Robotics, Urology, General Surgery, and GYN. Weekend coverage is required, and the technician may float to the other Campus.
Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, clean, disinfect, assemble, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and organize instrument sets, trays, and case carts.
- Pick surgical cases according to preference cards and procedure requirements.
- Perform sterilization monitoring using biological and chemical indicators.
- Perform steam sterilization, IUSS, and other applicable sterilization processes.
- Perform flexible endoscope and scope/probe reprocessing.
- Properly label, wrap, and prepare instruments for sterilization.
- Operate washers, ultrasonic cleaners, sterilizers, and other SPD equipment.
- Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection-control standards.
- Process instruments for multiple specialties, including Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, General Surgery, and GYN.
- Document instrument processing using the SPM instrumentation management system.
- Maintain adequate supplies and support high-volume surgical operations.
- Float between like units/sister facilities as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience.
- CBSPD OR IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required.
- Experience with case picking, case carts, tray assembly, and instrument processing.
- Strong knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, and infection-control procedures.
- Experience with specialty areas such as Neuro, Orthopedics, Robotics, Endoscopy, Urology, and GYN preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-volume SPD environment.
- Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile rule applies.
