Trailways of New York, a prestigious and prominent family-owned intercity bus company established in 1926, is currently seeking skilled Diesel Technicians to join our team at the Adirondack Trailways Fleet Maintenance Facility in Albany, NY.
As a Diesel Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our modern fleet of motor coaches, ensuring safe and efficient transportation services throughout New York State and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems of motor coaches.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop setting.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year’s experience in the mechanical industry, preferably with a focus on diesel vehicles
- Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues and repairing diesel systems.
- Availability for 1st shift training with flexibility for 2nd shift work including holidays and weekends.
- Possess own basic tools required for the job.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical examination.
- Valid NYS driver's license.
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
