Location: YMCA at Prince Georges (various locations)
Compensation: $16- $17.50 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time | Mornings/Evening Hours | School Year
The YMCA at Prince Georges is hiring dedicated and enthusiastic Program Leaders for our School Age Child Care program. This is a meaningful opportunity to positively impact children’s lives in a supportive and collaborative afterschool environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage school-age children in recreational, academic, and enrichment activities
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for all participants
- Plan and implement daily lessons and activities that support social-emotional and academic growth
- Provide guidance and positive behavior support
- Maintain communication with families and program staff
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or childcare setting
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant coursework or degree preferred
- Strong interpersonal and behavior management skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience fostering an environment for children of all abilities is valued.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- Before Care 6:30am-8:00am and or
- After Care 2:30pm-6:30pm

- High Bridge Elementary School: 7011 High Bridge Rd.
- Laurel Elementary School: 516 Montgomery St.
- Vansville Elementary School: 6813 Ammendale Rd.
