Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings with enthusiasm
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Prepare food items including scooping ice cream, creating sundaes, and maintaining food safety standards during food handling
- Manage customer orders with precision, ensuring quick service and upselling opportunities to enhance sales
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and organizing supplies regularly
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give accurate change while maintaining POS system integrity
- Support food safety management by following sanitation protocols, proper food handling procedures, and ensuring compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and sales transactions
- Experience operating kitchen equipment or serving in a café or restaurant environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and the ability to upsell products effectively
