Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical work.
- Perform electrical diagnostics to identify issues within complex industrial electrical systems and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring installations safely following all NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and local electrical codes.
- Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to measure resistance and verify circuit integrity during troubleshooting procedures.
- Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Work on construction sites or renovation projects, collaborating with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams when necessary.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for commercial or industrial projects.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications.
- Support the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems integral to modern industrial automation.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial and commercial environments with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and electrical blueprint reading is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes is required for compliance.
- Construction site experience is preferred, including renovation projects or new build installations.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration into industrial automation processes is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and translate them into practical wiring solutions using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures related to electrical work in diverse environments—industrial plants or commercial buildings alike.
