Responsibilities
- Prepare food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and food prep stations through bussing and sanitation duties.
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Assist with food handling tasks such as stocking supplies, wrapping orders, and ensuring proper food storage.
- Support the team in food industry best practices like serving quickly, managing time effectively, and supporting overall restaurant operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are necessary.
- Strong time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks like bussing tables or cleaning workstations.
