Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems , ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experiences and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support seamless service flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems for reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred for better understanding of menu offerings
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times
- Experience with bussing, host/hostess duties, or kitchen support roles is a plus
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and kitchen staff
