Responsibilities
- Execute residential framing tasks with precision, ensuring adherence to blueprints, schematics, and building codes.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide framing activities.
- Supervise and coordinate with other trades on-site to ensure smooth workflow and timely project progression.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, tracking progress, and quality control.
- Assist in project scheduling and planning using Primavera P6 or similar tools to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the framing process, ensuring compliance with safety standards like OSHA and project specifications.
- Manage on-site safety protocols, including the proper use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical checks and ensuring OSHA standards are met.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, managing resources effectively, and maintaining cost control.
- Support construction estimating efforts by providing accurate assessments of materials and labor needs.
- Maintain a safe construction site environment by supervising work practices and conducting regular safety audits.
Skills
- Extensive residential framing experience with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Proven supervision and management skills in overseeing framing crews or teams.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools.
- Deep knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
- Familiarity with contracts administration and project scheduling methodologies.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for construction site safety.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
