Position Description:
Job Overview:
Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her shift, within company policy, in such a manner as to ensure that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store.
Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level in order to be able to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of a variety of products during vendor check in
- Ability to stock shelves, coolers, and ice machine
- Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning materials
- Ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry trash containers and place in an outside bin
- Ability to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store
- Manage customer transactions with a positive attitude
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temp of 40 degrees for up to 30 minutes at a time
- Ability to occasionally work alone
- Ability to handle high levels of stress
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness
Qualifications/Experience/Education
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language at an eighth-grade level
- Must be at least 18 years of age
