The Role
Help patients protect their jobs and income while enjoying a flexible, fully remote schedule.
We're looking for experienced Nurse Practitioners with 10+ active state licenses to conduct telehealth evaluations for medical leave and workplace accommodations, including FMLA, state paid leave, short-term disability, ADA accommodations, and return-to-work certifications.
You'll conduct focused video visits, determine whether leave is medically appropriate, and review documentation prepared by our operations team. You never have to complete paperwork yourself, our team prepares every form for your review and signature.
You control your schedule, are paid per completed visit regardless of the clinical outcome, and retain complete independence over every medical decision.
What You’ll Do
Deliver High Integrity Televisits
- Conduct focused 10-minute telehealth evaluations.
- Assess whether patients meet medical criteria for leave or workplace accommodations.
- Evaluate cases relating to mental health, incapacity, chronic illness, etc.
- Review and confirm charting notes automatically generated by our AI scribe
Review FMLA Documentation
- Estimate incapacity duration or intermittent-leave cadence
- Review AI-assisted clinical documentation and forms prepared by our operations team.
- Electronically sign completed documentation when clinically appropriate.
- Maintain high responsiveness and communicate with our operations team to resolve questions quickly (via slack).
Practice Evidence Based Medicine
- Apply DSM-5 criteria for mental health cases
- Reference accepted guidelines for chronic and post-op conditions
- Educate patients on treatment plans & follow-up care
Uphold Clinical Quality
- Participate in quarterly peer-review meetings (remote)
- Follow our documentation checklist to ensure every form is “complete & sufficient”
- Report red flags or fraud concerns immediately
Collaborate with the Ops Team
- Provide input on clinical templates and telehealth workflow improvements
- Give feedback that shapes patient-facing FAQs and resources

Your Strengths
- Clinical Versatility - Board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, or PM&R; adept at evaluating both physical & mental health conditions.
- Multi-State Licensure - Active licenses in 10 or more states, covering 70% of US population
- Tech Fluency - Comfortable in browser-based EMRs, e-fax, Docusign, and basic video troubleshooting.
- Time-Management - You can keep a 10-minutes visit on track without cutting corners and sign forms the same day.
What You’ll Bring
- Nure practitioner (APRN) with clean, unrestricted licenses
- Prior FMLA or disability-evaluation experience is nice to have, not required
- Current board certification
- 3+ years of post-residency clinical practice (telehealth counts).
- Reliable broadband, webcam, quiet workspace, and comfort with 100 % remote care.
- Excellent written & spoken English.
Bonus Skills
- Spanish or other language proficiency.
- Familiarity with WH-380 variants and state paid-leave forms (CA CFRA, NY PFL, etc.).
Role Details & Requirements
- Commitment - 15–40 hrs/week (you pick fixed clinic blocks, goal is small small and expand if engagement goes well)
- Schedule - Aiming for continuous 3-4 blocks of time between 9 am–7 pm ET weekdays
- Contract Type - 1099 independent contractor via physician-owned PC
- Location - Remote – U.S. only
- EMR & Tools - Healthie, Zoom, Slack

Pay: $90.00 - $120.00 per hour
