Responsibilities
- Assemble custom machinery, automation systems, workstations, and turnkey industrial solutions according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret and work from mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Identify and resolve assembly, wiring, and mechanical issues during the build process.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and sales teams to support project completion and customer requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments (both inch and millimeter units), and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Operate mill, saws, drill press, tappers, and hi-lo.
- Ability to fabricate parts from aluminum extrusion and raw materials.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in machine assembly, industrial equipment manufacturing, panel building, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience wiring control panels and industrial automation equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, robotics, or automated systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong math and measuring skills.
- Ability and motivation to maintain good attendance, high productivity and a positive attitude.
- Ability and experience to earn a forklift permit.
