American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Psychiatric Geriatric Unit position in Asheville, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Position is based in a psychiatric geriatric unit within a large, 815-bed acute care hospital

Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

13-week contract

Active NC or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric nursing experience required

BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

CPI certification required for behavioral health roles; SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI depending on facility requirements

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
