Duvall Eyecare | Full-Time | 4-Day Work Week
We are a busy, growing optometry practice in a small but charming town, and we’re looking for an Optical Technician to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, positive, and genuinely enjoys helping people. Our days can be busy and unpredictable, so the ability to stay calm, focused, and professional when things get hectic is essential.
The successful candidate will help prepare patients for their eye examinations, assist with patient care, and support the day-to-day operations of our practice. Accuracy and attention to detail are important, but so are teamwork, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
Experience in optometry or healthcare is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Our team is important to us, and we are committed to finding someone who will be a great fit for our practice and our patients.
What You'll Do
- Prepare patients for comprehensive eye examinations by performing appropriate pre-testing
- Assist with patient care and provide a welcoming, professional experience
- Train patients on the insertion and removal of contact lenses
- Accurately enter and maintain patient information using multiple software programs
- Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, organized, and ready for patients
- Process contact lens retail transactions, payments, and insurance claims
- Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
- Clean and prepare eyewear
- Receive, organize, box, and ship packages
- Assist other departments as needed
- Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Work as part of a team to keep the practice running smoothly and efficiently

- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to pass a Washington State background check
