We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welding Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that all welding processes and finished products meet stringent quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. Your expertise will ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and CGMP standards.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of welded components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Review mechanical blueprints and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to ensure welds meet design requirements.
- Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds to identify defects or inconsistencies, utilizing tools like ultrasonic testing equipment when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, data collection, and audit results to support quality assurance documentation and traceability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions aligned with ISO 9001 and HACCP standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits and participate in internal quality management reviews to uphold compliance with regulatory/legal standards in production.
- Support calibration and maintenance of measurement tools including height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and vision systems to ensure ongoing measurement accuracy.
Qualifications
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from a recognized authority such as AWS (American Welding Society).
- Proven experience in quality assurance within manufacturing environments, especially in welding or metal fabrication industries.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (medical devices), FDA regulations, CGMP practices, and HACCP standards.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Excellent analysis skills for identifying root causes of defects and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Knowledge of regulatory/legal compliance standards related to manufacturing processes.
- Ability to perform quality audits, inspections, and data collection accurately while maintaining meticulous records.
Site access requirements are passing of a 10 panel drug screening and 7 years background with no felony convictions.

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
