Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our physicians in a allergy, immunology medical practice. Your expertise and experience will be essential as you assist our healthcare professionals in delivering top-notch medical services to our diverse patient population.
General duties
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations
- Interview patients to obtain their medical history
- Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
- Perform routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks
- Phlebotomy
- Monitor supplies and report to supervisor for ordering
- Clean, sterilize and maintain medical equipment and instruments
- Properly disposes of contaminated supplies
- Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials
- Perform Allergy Skin Test, PFT's and administer allergy injections
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information and manage appointments
Preferred qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications: CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
