- Review project scopes, measurements, plans, and jobsite conditions before and during work.
- Set daily crew goals, assign work, keep the team productive, and maintain project timelines.
- Ensure work is completed to Oxen Construction quality standards and manufacturer requirements.
- Identify issues early—including rot, framing damage, water intrusion, material shortages, or unforeseen conditions—and communicate them promptly to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite throughout the project.
- Enforce safe work practices, including ladder safety, fall protection, proper tool use, and PPE requirements.
- Track materials, protect customer property, minimize waste, and coordinate material needs with management.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and Oxen leadership.
- Help train and develop crew members in proper installation methods, safety, workmanship, and accountability.
- Complete jobsite photos, daily updates, and required project documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in siding, window, door, trim, aluminum wrapping, fascia/soffit, or related exterior construction work.
- Prior experience leading a crew or serving as a lead installer is strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely and accurately perform hands-on installation work.
- Ability to read a tape measure, understand job scopes, and interpret basic drawings or specifications.
- Strong knowledge of exterior flashing, water management, weatherproofing, and finish details.
- Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and on multi-story projects.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and respect.
- Must be dependable, drug-free, safety-minded, and able to represent Oxen Construction well with clients and team members.
