Job Summary: Aspire Behavioral Services is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a hybrid position. Provide in-home early intervention services and in clinic therapy. In this role, you’ll have the best of both work environments -support families using a relationship-based, parent coaching model—working in the child's natural environment to build functional skills that promote independence, development, daily life participation and providing one on one services in clinic.
This is a hybrid position-it’s a chance to deliver meaningful, personalized care within the context of each family’s home and direct therapeutic services in clinic. You’ll work closely with caregivers and an interdisciplinary team to co-create solutions, celebrate progress, and empower families with strategies that work in real life.
Key Responsibilities:
As a COTA at Aspire, you will:
- Implement and execute established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Communicate with patience, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team.
- Provide timely written documentation per requirements of both clinic standards and Early Invention guidelines.
- Develop and enhance clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional association.
- Support and participate in department operations and development.
- Provide therapy focused on improving motor skills, sensory processing, self-help skills, and daily living activities.
- Deliver services using a parent coaching model, helping caregivers integrate strategies into everyday routines.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including Developmental Specialists, SLPs, PTs, BCBAs, and RBTs, to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain clinical excellence and requirements.
Qualifications:
We’re looking for a COTA who is energized by working with families and passionate about early development and pediatric therapy. Ideal candidates will have:
- Associate's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (AOTE) certified school.
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
- Experience in early intervention, pediatrics, or family-centered care preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both caregivers and professional peers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong time management, organization, and flexibility to navigate a varied home-based schedule.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required at time of hire and throughout employment).
