About us
Pōʻai is a modern Hawaiian coffee shop and curated retail space in the heart of Chinatown. We are also the manufacturing hub for Pono Potions Syrups, naturally made flavored syrups distributed to coffee shops, restaurants, and retailers around Hawaiʻi.
We support other local small businesses by featuring handcrafted goods and hosting regular community events like First Friday art nights and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi workshops.
We’re looking for part-time baristas who will bring aloha, creativity, and a strong work ethic to our team. You'll be part of a warm, fast-paced environment that values community, hospitality, and high-quality products. Barista experience is a plus but willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Prep of food products and all beverage mixes we use for our specialty drinks
- Communicate clearly with supervisors
- Operate espresso machines and POS systems
- Maintain a clean, safe café environment
- Follow proper cash handling and safety procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
