This position is for a high-support Adult Foster Care home serving adult male individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) who require consistent prompting, redirection, supervision, and daily engagement.
This is not a passive position. Staff are expected to be actively engaged with residents throughout the entire shift.
If you are looking for a job where you can sit on your phone or avoid interaction, this position will not be a good fit.
We are seeking experienced and dependable staff who understand the responsibility of working in a licensed Adult Foster Care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to adult male residents with IDD
- Provide consistent prompting, redirection, and behavioral support
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Administer medications according to AFC medication administration procedures
- Follow all medication documentation requirements
- Monitor resident health and safety
- Participate in community outings and structured activities
- Complete accurate progress notes, behavioral documentation, and incident reports
- Follow resident IPOS and behavioral support plans
- Assist with meal preparation and household duties
- Maintain a clean, structured, and safe home environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with IDD or behavioral health populations
- Medication Administration Training / Experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Completion of ALL 13 DWC Trainings through DWCTRaining.com
- Medical Clearance
- Fingerprint Background Check
- Ability to pass all required background screenings
- Reliable transportation

Experience working in:
- Adult Foster Care Homes
- Group Homes
- Behavioral Health
- Crisis Prevention / Behavioral Management
- Medication Administration in a licensed care setting
