About Richard Care Pharmacy
Richard Care Pharmacy is launching a brand-new, privately owned community pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama, and we're looking for a dedicated Supervising Pharmacist (SP) to join our founding team.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building an independent pharmacy from the ground up. As our Supervising Pharmacist, you'll oversee pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, deliver exceptional patient care, and help establish the systems, workflows, and culture that will shape our long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Supervising Pharmacist for the pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with Alabama Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, HIPAA, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Verify prescriptions, oversee dispensing, and provide patient counseling.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records, inventory, and medication management.
- Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Assist in the setup, organization, and ongoing growth of the pharmacy.
- Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while building lasting relationships with patients.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Alabama (required).
- Eligible to serve as a Supervising Pharmacist under Alabama regulations.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Retail or community pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.
