Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing quality resident care. Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with planning and scheduling resident appointments
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement resident care plans
- Document resident information accurately and maintain electronic health records using Point Click Care
- Support behavioral health patients by providing emotional support and implementing therapeutic interventions
- Participate in pain management strategies and administer pain medications as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in Mississippi
- Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and electronic health record systems
- Prior experience in a nursing home setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide exceptional resident care
