We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks to transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Perform vehicle recovery operations in various conditions, including accidents and breakdowns.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose minor vehicle issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
- Manage conflicts with customers professionally, ensuring a positive experience during stressful situations.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including vehicle details and any incidents encountered during towing.
- Collaborate with dispatchers to respond promptly to service calls and communicate effectively regarding job status.
Qualifications
- Valid Tow Truck certification with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and diagnostics.
- Experience operating flatbed tow trucks; familiarity with manual transmission is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when necessary for vehicle recovery or loading.
- Excellent conflict management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience as a tow truck driver or in a related field is highly desirable.
