Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lumber Mill Laborer to join our manufacturing team. This position involves supporting the daily operations of a wood processing facility, assisting with the handling, processing, and quality control of lumber products. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining efficient workflow, ensuring safety standards, and contributing to the production of high-quality millwork. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in woodworking, machinery operation, and manufacturing processes within a dynamic environment.
Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm - no weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished lumber using forklifts and hand tools
- Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and prepare wood components for further processing
- Use calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy of wood products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and milling areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols diligently when working around machinery, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Assist with quality inspections, ensuring lumber meets specified standards for dimensions and quality
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing, woodworking, or warehouse environments preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge of forklift operation is desirable; valid certification is a plus
- Understanding of construction, carpentry, or millwork processes beneficial
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
