2nd shift Monday – Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am (additional shift differential $1.50)

Purpose and Description:
To set up, program download from existing files, load material and operate a laser cutting machine (LMI Flat, Adige Tube or Mazak 6-Axis). Produce quality parts according to specifications.
Major Responsibilities:
- Machine set up and operation.
- Loading and unloading material.
- Adjust laser as needed.
- Complete required preventive maintenance functions.

Running multiple machines and processes simultaneously.
- Produce quality parts using a variety of metal fabrication processes and machines.
- Operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, perforation machines, manual mills, end formers, horizontal and vertical saws.
- Follow quality procedures – document as necessary
Other Responsibilities:
- Inspection of parts using a variety of measuring tools
- Process job packets accurately using a computer system/ERP

Maintain confidentiality of customer information in blue prints used or designed by Bauer

Desired Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills /Abilities:
- Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining

2-5 years experience in the operation of laser metal cutting machines

Computer skills and utilization of laser cutting software

Blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing

Basic math skills
-
Accurate use of measuring equipment such as tapes and calipers

Accurate documentation

Physical Requirements and Environment:
- May require frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Some time working near moving mechanical parts

Rotation of more physically demanding regular parts, which may include long term runs
