Responsibilities for CNC Programmer/Machinist
- Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with these blueprints.
- Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly
- Operate CNC lathe &/or mill on a daily basis
- Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
- Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening
- Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs
- Operate manual machines when the process cannot be fully complete via CNC
- Perform other shop related task daily to ensure efficient work flow

- Good math skills
- Must have good problem solving skills.
- Must have good organizational and planning skills.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Knowledge of metal shop work.
- Must have the ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.
- Should have a positive and professional attitude
Qualifications for CNC Programmer/Machinist
- Associates degree in CNC programming or accredited technical school certification
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
- Previous experience programming and operating CNC machines is required
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
