Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Heavy Civil Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various tasks on large-scale civil construction projects, including large earthwork projects, commercial building sites, and utility infrastructure. You will be responsible for a range of manual labor duties, including loading/unloading materials, working around heavy equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the construction and maintenance of various types of heavy civil earthwork and civil infrastructure projects.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, including heavy items, using various tools and equipment.
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools, such as drills, saws, and jackhammers.
- Assist with the installation of concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
- Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth as needed.
- Clean and prepare work areas, removing debris and ensuring safety.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with other team members.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Participate in on-the-job training and learn new skills as needed.
Qualifications:
- Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding manual labor tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Experience in heavy civil construction is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
