Responsibilities of an RN Staff Development Coordinator:
- Leading orientation programs for newly hired clinical staff members.
- Planning and delivering recurring in-service training on clinical skills, safety, infection control, etc.
- Ensuring the facility maintains compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conducting competency evaluations, performing floor observations, and mentoring staff to improve clinical performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of employee training, in-service attendance, and certifications.
Qualifications of an RN Staff Development Coordinator:
- Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
- Computer knowledge proffered.
- Strong instructional and presentation abilities, excellent organizational skills, and comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations.
- Must be a registered nurse with active license in the state of Connecticut.
- Knowledge of elderly, ill, and/or disabled.
