Dream Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. *Responsibilities* -
Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations. - Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. - Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software, ensuring all information is up-to-date. - Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. - Assist with the management of inventory and supplies within the orthodontic practice.
*Skills* - Proficient knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. - Familiarity with Open Dental software for managing patient records effectively. - Experience in taking X-rays and understanding medical imaging techniques. - Strong grasp of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics. - Basic knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental practices. - Understanding of dental terminology, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry. - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
