PRODUCTION Supervisor
Associated Photo and Imaging, Hialeah, Florida.
We’re not looking for someone who manages from a distance.
We build things that end up in the world’s most recognized luxury retail environments and in fine art collections across the Americas. The work is demanding, the standards are high, and the clients notice everything. We need someone who is genuinely proud of what comes off the floor, someone who loses sleep over a finish that isn’t right, not because they were told to care, but because they do.
If you’re the kind of person who is endlessly curious about how things are made, who finds a better process even when the current one works fine, and who understands that leadership sometimes means picking up a tool when the deadline is tight: keep reading.
What We Do
We are a custom fabrication shop specializing in large-format fine art production and luxury travel retail displays. Our clients include galleries, artists, and some of the most demanding luxury brands in the world. We work in wood, PVC, acrylic, vinyl, metal, and paint. Our process moves from client design to CNC, laser, and large-format output, through hand assembly and finishing by skilled craftspeople, then out the door for local installation or international shipment across the Americas and beyond.
Every piece that leaves this floor carries our name on it.
The Role
You own the production floor. That means crew, quality, materials, schedule, and output. From job kickoff to final sign-off. You are not a supervisor passing problems up the chain. You are the person who solves them, documents them, and keeps the floor moving.
You will work directly with our Director of Operations. You receive the production schedule and job specs; you execute against them. You communicate clearly when something threatens a deadline or a budget, and you do it before it becomes a crisis, not after.
This is a floor-present role. You will be here, with the team, every day.
What You’ll Own
- Daily floor management: crew assignments, production pace, and schedule adherence
- Quality control at every milestone in-process and final sign-off before anything ships
- Materials purchasing and receiving within approved job budgets, tracked in Odoo
- Bilingual communication between our English-speaking operations team and our Spanish-speaking production crew
- Shop safety: maintaining safe production practices and shop organization standards, and reporting unsafe conditions immediately nothing deferred
- Shipping verification, outbound accuracy, BOLs, and customs documentation for international deliveries
- Real-time job data in Odoo: labor hours, materials consumed, QC results, and shipping status
- Identifying recurring inefficiencies, waste, and workflow barriers and bringing improvement opportunities forward for implementation
What You Bring
- Proven experience in custom fabrication, manufacturing, or production, ideally with exposure to luxury retail displays, fine art production, or high-tolerance custom work
- A standard for quality that doesn’t flex under deadline pressure
- Fluent Spanish; this is a non-negotiable requirement; English proficiency is valued but not required
- Comfort with production management systems (experience with Odoo is a plus; willingness to learn it is a must)
- The instinct to flag a problem early and the confidence to propose a solution when you do
- A continuous improvement mindset: you notice what isn’t working and you say something
- A team-first mentality: you lead from the front, not from behind a desk
What This Role Is Not
You will not be negotiating client scope, pricing, or timelines: those conversations belong to the Director of Operations. You will not be issuing change orders or making HR decisions unilaterally. Those boundaries exist to protect you and the team, not to limit you.
What you will have is full ownership of everything that happens on the floor.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: 55,000 – 75,000, commensurate with experience and demonstrated capability
Performance Bonuses: Quarterly bonuses tied to on-time delivery, quality outcomes, and materials budget adherence
Health Insurance: Company covers 80% of premiums
401(k): 3% company match (eligible after one year)
Additional Benefits: Dental, vision, and life insurance available
Vacation: 10 paid days per year (accrued after one year of service), plus 1 additional PTO day
Sick Leave: 6 paid sick days per year
Paid Holidays: 7 company-observed holidays
Growth
This role is the direct on-ramp to Director of Operations. We are a growing company and we promote based on demonstrated mastery, not tenure. The faster you build capability across scheduling, job costing, and client communication, the faster that path becomes real. We will not make promises about timelines but the path is genuine and the opportunity is there for the right person.
