We are seeking experienced Pipe Fitters and Combo Pipe Welders to join our mechanical services team supporting local industrial and commercial projects. These positions are responsible for the installation, fabrication, fitting, welding, maintenance, and repair of piping systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, bevel, fit, and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping systems.
- Install piping systems, valves, pumps, supports, and related mechanical equipment.
- Perform layout work and ensure proper alignment of piping components.
- Conduct field modifications and repairs as required by project needs.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, torches, and pipe fabrication equipment.
- Follow all OSHA, company safety, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work closely with supervisors, welders, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
Additional Responsibilities for Combo Pipe Welders
- Perform GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and/or GMAW (MIG) welding on carbon steel and stainless steel piping.
- Complete high-quality welds that meet customer and code requirements.
- Inspect welds for quality and perform repairs when necessary.
- Pass required weld tests and maintain welding certifications as applicable.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pipe Fitter or Combo Pipe Welder in industrial, commercial, or mechanical construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of piping systems, fabrication methods, and installation techniques.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, codes, and industry standards preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to local job sites.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
Pay & Benefits
- Pipe Fitters: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Combo Pipe Welders: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and weld test results.
- Overtime opportunities available based on project demands.
