Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Manager to oversee our transportation operations in our Tri Cities location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective transportation planning, logistics management, and supply chain coordination. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can drive process improvements and optimize our transportation network.
Duties and responsibilities
- This position will start as a Nightshift during training (3 weeks) to get acclimated to the operation. During the training period, the hours will be 8:00pm-3:00am.
- Responsible for maintaining company and customer standards with Key Performance Indicators to ensure service levels are met or exceeded consistently by providing consistent, relevant, and accurate data analysis to support operational decisions using data driven methods.
- Analyze service and financial reporting regularly to identify trends and opportunities; communicate findings and provide viable solutions to correct performance and/or service issues to upper PCT management.
- Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs for both PCT and our customers.
- Collaborate with other management team members to coordinate shipments and deliveries within the company network.
- Responsible for coordinating vehicle maintenance and operational needs. This includes regular inspections of vehicles to ensure drivers are properly reporting vehicle/equipment quality and readiness.
- Manage all aspects of performance, accountability, and development of direct team members to assist them in maintaining the highest level of performance and encourage professional growth.
- Responsible for reviewing, correcting, and approving all employee timecards weekly.
- Promote and maintain a safe and compliant environment by utilizing your thorough understanding and knowledge of DOT, FMSCA, and OSHA laws and regulations.
- Assist with prospective candidate interviews, new hire training and pre-employment road tests.
- Ability to travel, up to 20% in the PNW.
- All additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a Valid CDL-A License with a clean driving record.
- Frontline leadership soft skills such as team building and conflict resolution
- FMCSA and State DOT Requirements
- Proficient in Business Operational Systems, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, or a similar field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience. Knowledge of trucking and warehouse logistics is preferred.
- Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
