As a Powder Prep you will work with the powder team to prepare metal surfaces. You will load and unload the powder-coat line, and you will additionally set up, operate and tend machines to coat a wide variety of products based on operational needs.. Quality and safety are the most important factors and must be upheld. Some lifting is required.

Load and unload paint line based on production schedule for maximum capacity, monitor its operations, made adjustments based on work-flow, and record operational data.

Prepare metal surfaces with cleaning solutions to remove oil, dirt, and other contaminates prior to coating.

Assist in the movement of products through the steps of department operation via manual conveyor system.

Load powders and operate coating equipment to apply a variety of color to products based on client selections.

Perform required quality checks including incoming inspections, work-in-process, and final inspections as required to maintain quality standards.

Perform inventory controls, maintain equipment and a clean and safe working environment.

High school diploma

Basic hand tools skills.

Basic powder coating process knowledge

Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required.

Stand for long periods of time.

Able to wear and inspect all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
