Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Auto Body Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert surface preparation, painting, and finishing techniques. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality.
- Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear coats using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and consistency.
- Conduct surface repairs including dent removal, welding, and auto body repair to restore structural integrity before painting.
- Utilize automotive buffing and polishing techniques to achieve a smooth, glossy finish on painted surfaces.
- Operate power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffing machines safely and effectively during the refinishing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling surface preparation materials, paints, and masking supplies.
- Follow safety protocols including the use of respiratory protection when working with paints and chemicals to ensure a safe workplace environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or automotive surface preparation.
- Strong knowledge of automotive buffing, sanding, masking, and surface finishing techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, spray guns (including automotive coating spray guns), and airless paint spraying equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
