Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on infant development, including sensory activities, motor skills, and social-emotional growth
- Provide attentive child supervision, ensuring safety and well-being at all times during indoor and outdoor activities
- Engage with infants through nurturing caregiving practices, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and comforting as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones in compliance with licensing standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's daily experiences, achievements, and any concerns
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately
- Manage classroom routines to foster a structured yet flexible environment that encourages exploration and learning
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or in a daycare center setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required within 90 days of hiring; additional certifications in child care or special education are a plus
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques tailored for infants and toddlers
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations while providing compassionate care
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
