ANCHOR NW PROPERTY GROUP is looking for a new MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our team! We are a collaborative, family-owned property management company with 36 beautiful apartment communities throughout the Portland Metro area and a corporate office located in Beaverton.
Our MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS are focused on ensuring that any necessary repairs to our buildings are handled quickly and professionally. Ideal candidates must be experienced operating handheld tools (drills, saws, stud finders, black lights, level, tape measure, etc.), have basic repair/maintenance experience (painting, furniture assembly, etc.) and be able to operate mobile apps (text, email, attachments, dropdown menus, etc.)
Successful candidates will be clear and consistent communicators, with solid people skills as well as technical skills. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and in the communities they are helping to maintain.
Schedule:
- Full time, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4pm
- Quarterly ‘On-Call’ status (1 week every 3 months)
Compensation:
- $25 - $26/hour (depending on experience)

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete apartment turnovers according to the Maintenance Turn Checklist.
- Respond to and complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in maintenance of curb appeal by attending to the dog park area, smoking station and pickup of any loose trash around the building.
- Paint common areas as assigned.
- Become familiar with all equipment operation and maintenance equipment’s, all implied warranties and manufacturer's recommendations for properly maintaining said equipment.
- Attending training and education classes and opportunities as management deems necessary and essential to the performance of the maintenance department.
- Perform duties of On-call tech and On-call backup, as requested.
Success Factors:
- Must have basic computer/mobile software skills.
- Maintain a positive image while representing Anchor NW Property Group by being professional in both manner and speech.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Maintain and create a welcoming community for all visitors, residents, vendors and city inspectors.
- Complete all payroll entries accurately to properly record time, jobs and GL codes.
- Comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, and policies.
- Report unusual issues to management.
- Assist as needed, during emergency situations.
