Licensed Interior Designer – Commercial Office Furniture
Location: In-Person (Northwest Florida)
About the Position
Center Line Associates is seeking a talented, experienced Licensed Interior Designer to join our growing team. This is an in-office position for a motivated professional with a strong background in the COMMERCIAL OFFICE FURNITURE INDUSTRY and extensive experience designing functional, aesthetically pleasing workplace environments.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects while collaborating with clients, sales staff, manufacturers, and project managers.
Required Qualifications
- Current Interior Design license (Florida preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of COMMERICAL INTERIOR DESIGN EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial office furniture industry
- Demonstrated experience specifying and designing with Teknion products
- Strong understanding of commercial furniture systems, private offices, conference rooms, ancillary furniture, and architectural products
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- Experience preparing furniture specifications, finish selections, installation drawings, and presentation materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Professional references required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CET Designer, CAP, or SPEC
- Knowledge of GSA and government procurement projects
- Experience coordinating with installation teams and project managers
- Familiarity with additional commercial furniture manufacturers is a plus
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand project goals and workplace requirements
- Develop furniture layouts and space plans
- Specify commercial office furniture and finishes
- Prepare presentation drawings, renderings, and client proposals
- Produce installation drawings and furniture specifications
- Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, sales representatives, and installers
- Review plans for accuracy and ensure projects meet client expectations
- Assist with finish and material selections
- Manage multiple projects from concept through installation
