Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across various services
Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
Verify patient demographics and update records in the system accurately
Coordinate appointments to optimize provider schedules and minimize wait times
Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-up requirements to patients
Handle appointment cancellations and assist with waitlists as needed
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure scheduling accuracy and efficiency
Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Assist with patient check-in processes and other front-office duties as required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in medical scheduling, customer service, or healthcare administration preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
High level of attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using healthcare scheduling software or EHR systems
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance basics
Bilingual skills (a plus)
