Responsibilities
- Supervise daily clinic operations, including patient scheduling, billing, and record management
- Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, medical billing, and fiscal oversight to ensure practice profitability
- Manage human resources functions, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and state health policies
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records), EHR (Electronic Health Records), Dentrix to maintain accurate medical records and streamline workflows
- Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize patient care delivery and facilitate effective communication among team members
- Monitor clinic inventory, supplies procurement, and equipment maintenance to support smooth operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare practice management within a dental or medical setting
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams in healthcare environments
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and health policy standards
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential
- Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing processes
- Excellent managerial communication skills to motivate staff and ensure high-quality customer service
- Prior experience with dental office operations or clinic experience is highly preferred
- Ability to handle acute care situations and manage healthcare staff effectively in a fast-paced environment
