Valley Lo Club is seeking an energetic, service-driven Pub 81 Manager to lead our newest food and beverage venue inside the Club's brand-new Sports Center. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up, shape the member experience, and establish Pub 81 as one of the Club's most popular gathering places.
This is a full-time, year-round leadership position ideal for someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys creating memorable experiences, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing daily operations while also stepping behind the bar and engaging with members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Pub 81, ensuring exceptional service and an outstanding member experience.
- Develop and manage an engaging beverage program, including cocktails, beer, wine, and seasonal offerings.
- Schedule Wednesday-Sunday, 2:00 PM to close, including holidays.
- Serve as a bartender when necessary.
- Recruit, train, coach, and lead the Pub 81 team.
- Create staff schedules and manage labor to meet operational needs.
- Maintain inventory, place orders, and monitor beverage costs.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and liquor regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage leadership team to execute promotions, events, and special programming.
- Build relationships with members and anticipate their needs to create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere.
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and achieving financial goals for the outlet.
Qualifications
- Previous management experience in a restaurant, bar, private club, or hospitality setting.
- Experience developing and managing beverage programs is strongly preferred.
- Bartending experience with strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Outstanding leadership and team-building skills.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the management team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
