We are seeking an experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a weekend line cook position only, MUST BE AVAILABLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 8-4. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and execution of delicious dishes in a fast-paced culinary environment. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be a team player and be able to handle different modifications for orders. Must be fine with bimonthly payroll.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to set recipes
-Make all orders and be able to handle customer modifications
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and accurate food production
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages to the Head Chef
-Assist with any inventory, organizing and refilling ingredients if needed.
-Ensure all food modifications are done as requested
-Assist with other things as needed
-Close grill/line area and clean up at the end of the day
**Skills:**
- Minimum 2 years experience as line cook.
-Be a team player and have a good attitude.
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food handling procedures
- Food handlers certification
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation including knives and other tools
- Familiarity with catering practices and large-scale food preparation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus
